DICK KIMSEY -- Controller
BACKGROUND
Dick Kimsey joined L.N. Rothberg & Son Inc. in 2004, but has been a Controller since 1978. Dick has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University in South Orange. Prior to working with L.N. Rothberg, Dick worked as the Controller for several other New Jersey companies, including Metropolitan Trucking, Inc. in Paterson, Air Filters, Inc. in Newark, and Transco Group Inc. in Somerset. He manages and is responsible for the accounting and financial functions of the company that helps make L.N. Rothberg a profitable business.
TODAY
His day-to-day responsibilities include supervising all activities of the accounting and administrative staff, preparation of financial statements, payroll, billing, collection, administration of the 401(K) and profit sharing plan, and maintaining a list of all equipment. He is also responsible for tax planning and filings, training and accounting system support for related staff, assisting in establishing budget and expense analysis, and presenting detailed analysis of consolidated balance sheet that ties into workpapers for review by an outside accounting firm.
Dick is involved with the Alexandria Equestrian Association (AEA) where the members further the mutual enjoyment deriving from horses, surroundings, and camaraderie.
