60th Anniversary

Moving the Earth throughout our 60 Year Journey

Middlesex, NJ - January 2008 - Founded in 1948, L.N. Rothberg & Son Inc. is celebrating its 60th anniversary in business. This proud achievement is a very significant milestone for us. Very few companies survive so long, much less firms in our rapidly changing construction industry. Our success over the years stems from properly serving our clients, employees, and vendors through many business cycles. And, of course, the continued support our clients give us for our innovation and customer service.

Message from Lou Rothberg, Founder of L.N. Rothberg

On behalf of everyone at L.N. Rothberg today and in the past, I want to thank you for your continued support and for making our success possible. We couldn’t have done it without you and the goodwill of our community.

When I first started the company in 1948, I never imagined that after 60 years, L.N. Rothberg would be as successful as it is today. We have grown from one employee performing general sitework in 1948 to more than 120 professionals today working in Northern and Central New Jersey. We have ten plus crews, a specialized paving crew, and the equipment to get the job done right the first time. L.N. Rothberg has helped develop thousands of sites, including stadiums, schools, office buildings, and NJ roads.

Over the years, we’ve been on the forefront of the construction industry. We’ve hurdled business cycles and internal and external challenges. Throughout the journey, I’ve always believed that delivering quality work and treating people fairly were keys to long-term success. We’ve assembled a great team to deliver our services, and I’m thankful for their continued support and loyalty. We’ve responded to the needs of our clients, and sometimes have created innovative solutions to help facilitate better building success.

We’re proud that thousands of clients throughout NJ have used are services. Our custom applications make a real difference in the industry, from helping people in disaster zones to helping lay the roadwork of our great state. At the same time, we’ve created a stable environment where our people have been able to grow professionally and personally.

Today, L.N. Rothberg is introducing further enhancements to our process, safety controls, and estimating. We’re including more capabilities for project estimating, management and quality control. The additions allow our clients to more easily access and leverage the knowledge that our 60 years has earned us.

Overall, it’s much more that what I envisioned L.N. Rothberg would do 60 years ago. We’ve accomplished a lot so far, and we’re positioned to do even more. With your continued support and encouragement, the possibilities are limitless.
